Use your lovely fabrics and HeatnBond's adhesive and clear iron on vinyl to create the most amazing indoor/outdoor placemats, coasters and pet mats! Decorate your patio furniture with style during the warm months and have fun making these items for indoors too! The best part, no sewing required!
In this tutorial on YouTube I show you how to use HeatnBond Lite and HeatnBond Iron On Vinyl to make these UV protected and water resistant accessories.
Great idea for a home based business too. HeatnBond products come in a variety of lengths and the width I am using is 17" or 43 cm. You can also buy the vinyl in 24" width or 61 cm. I cut the 5 pieces for each placemat to 17" wide by 12 inches deep, or 30.5 cm deep. You can play with your offcuts for coaster sizes. Finished size of 4" square or 10 cm square is a good minimum. This is a project that does not require a sewing machine.

This project is so satisfying! Just make sure that you never forget to put some parchment paper or the heatnbond carrier sheet between your project and your iron! Cheers, Tori Capes, Certified Milliner.
