Join us for a learning adventure on the grounds of our scenic Mad Cap Hats headquarters near Westport, Ontario.  You are welcome to book your experience as a day trip or you can join us overnight for a holiday adventure.  We have a brand new studio apartment that can comfortably sleep 3 adults or 4 if you don't mind sharing a king size bed.  See our brand new listing for the Studio on Airbnb here The Studio at Mad Cap Hats. 

Note - Lesson fee is in addition to the accomodation fee. 

The lession is at least three hours and includes the materials for making one of the hats from our library of sewing patterns. We will cover basic design, measuring head size and cutting the pattern. You are welcome to bring your own portable sewing machine to make your hat step by step or share the portable sewing machine we have on site. 

Sewing experience is required for a Hat Making Lesson although we can make a simple hat if you would like to involve a child over 5 years of age on this hat making adventure. Kid's lessons cover simple design of a pattern using their own head measurements and decorating with a variety of embellishments like pom poms, pipe cleaners, feathers and more using non-toxic glue.  See photo in listing. We will provide the sewing steps. (Contact us in advance for the greatly reduced price of a kid's hat lesson.)

Cost is $150 for two people or $225 for three people.  Due to the small size of our workshop we can only accomodate up to three people at one time currently.
